Eating and drinking well

Food and beverages are a wonderful gift and a shared passion of our family. We seek to apply the following philosophies as we enjoy them:

  • Eat Food. Mostly Plants. Not Too Much [1]
  • Food should be anticipated, enjoyed, and appreciated
  • Eating is an event, not an item on a checklist (we take this most seriously at dinner)
  • Food should not be used as an incentive, for pacification or comfort
  • Cuisine holds centuries of history — it has been developed and refined over many generations
  • Cuisine is a window into culture (e.g., fish head curry in Singapore, fried artichoke stems in Rome)
