Travel is a wonderful gift and a shared passion of our family. We live in the golden age of travel. Never in the history of the world have so many cultures been able to mix, observe and share so much. In our travels we seek to apply a simple philosophy:
The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. Augustine of Hippo
We learn as much or more from the heterogenous as the homogenous.
Traveling and living in cultures very different from where we were raised has been enormously eye opening and educational.
Learning history through seeing its physical footprints has stuck with us far more than image searches.
Eating everything we possibly can has taught us more about people, cultures, history, and, well, food, than we could have imagined before we relaxed our food preferences and started asking everyone who served us food to introduce us to whatever dishes they are most proud of.
